Black New Moon: Stepping Out on Courage

Greetings beloveds,

It’s been awhile I know but I’ve got some things in the works which should be coming forth soon sharing the revelations that I had during my Mary Magdalene trip to France. Today though I’m here to share some insights that I had about this Black New Moon in Libra.

Now this may not seem like a big deal to you all but fall is my favorite season and with my birthday being around the corner all celestial occurrences in Libra or other signs which play a large part in my natal chart always catch my attention. This new moon in Libra has to be one of my favorites. As always this is a great time to set intentions and figure out what you would like to release. The energy of Libra brings added emphasis on partnerships, justice, and community. Although Libra’s are generally associated with balance because of their glyth of the scale and a woman who’s blindfolded to dual out justice without prejudice there is a side of Libra that is often unacknowledged.

Libra’s are the balance between our external and internal selves. The role we play in partnership to ourselves as well as our community. We are the side of Venus that can be selfish, obsessive and a bit self centered. Venus as a deity was not always just spreading love and romance she would also make strategic moves in order to control love in all it’s many forms. Just take a look at the story of Cupid and Psyche. Love can be ruthless, obsessive, self-centered and many other things. Now is a time to take a look at how we relate to others and ourselves. Here’s some prompts to assist you with this process:

How do you feel when you turn the attention of your affections towards yourself?

Place yourself in the shoes of those that you interact with. Would you be your friend, co-worker, lover, spouse, or interacting with a family member that portrayed themselves as you do?

What are the mental, behavioral, emotional and psychic habits that you would like to release or cultivate?

Remember we are existing in a world of co-creation. You can control what energy you hold and how you interact with the energy that you encounter. Build a tool chest of skills to help you to stay and return to a balanced state of being that can feel, be and give love.

Lastly, don’t run away from the shadow side of Libra energy. There is purpose and worth in all experiences even if they are not what we may have desired. These experiences may signal the habits we need to change or areas that need to be released. You can integrate your shadow side to utilize that energy just as much as you make an effort to send and receive light. Just ask your guides and they can show you how.

The Magdalene Path

I am so happy to be speaking with you all today from the beautiful City of Rennes les Banes in France. I am currently on a Mary Magdalene retreat visiting sacred sites associated in this region with the Madgalene.

Although there will be much to share over the next few days I wanted to really share with you what I experienced over the past few days. Hopefully I will be able to share what all is coming forth for me.

Let us begin at the beginning. This trip began right during the Mercury retrograde. As we know mercury retrograde is when the planet mercury appears to be moving backwards in relation to the planet Earth because of the trajectory of Earth’s rotation. Mercury does not actually move backwards but is just moving slower because of it’s path. Mercury being the ruler of communication, technology, and things associated with the mind we often find these areas being affected during this time. Plans going awry, communication being unclear, technology malfunctioning. As such this calls for us to slow down, such as it appears that mercury is doing and be more aware as well as intentional in all the things that we do. So with a big trip like going to France for a bit of time I made certain that I had planned ahead to be where I needed to be as well as double checking my plans in order to be able to take my time and move slowly towards my destination.

Even with that though I have been a bit unprepared. I was late for my shuttle and ended up leaving my jacket so I don’t have a lot of warm clothes to wear while here and it’s a bit chilly in the area that we are staying in. So I am feeling all the lovely changes in weather and temperatures. Then, due to procrastination which is truly my having anxiety about being prepared and thus not preparing because I feel too stressed because I was anxious bringing about…you guessed it more anxiety. So I was unprepared.

I also felt unsure though. I knew this was going to be a great trip. I knew that I would be safe and I knew that everything would turn out the way it was supposed to so I went along with my plans knowing that things may not turn out how I had expected them to because I just couldn’t feel what was coming. So I went with it.

I arrived at the airport and felt a bit out of my area again not having flown outside of the US before and being unfamiliar with that airport as I prefer a smaller one that is also near me, but slowly I made my way. I found myself sitting and able to relax before my plane arrived which really helped me to calm myself a bit although I began to have some trepidation since our plane was delayed. I knew though that all things would work out as they should and they did. I realized pretty quickly though that my anxiety is coming from fear.

Many people have shared their interpretations and understandings of fear which I have found to be helpful but also a bit controlling. If you find yourself in a similar space it is helpful to take some time to figure out what your relationship is to fear and how you react to it. It is not always easy to be able to sit with fear. We are socialized and biologically inclined to want to escape from fear. This has been imprinted in us in order to keep us safe and away from danger. Yet you will find that not all ways of dealing with fear will work for you. That is why we must have the freedom to explore.

So what I would like to leave you with today is the scenario of facing one of your fears. What would that fear be? What is your immediate response to this stimulus? Begin to present yourself with options of reactions to this stimulus and see which one slows your breath and calms you. This is the first step towards beginning to understand how best for you to deal with not only fear but stress.

Hello Old Friend

Greetings beloveds,

It’s been a little while and I’ve been going back and forth with what to write over the past few weeks. As I prepare to travel to France though for a Mary Magdalene retreat I find that I am more and more in a reflective state.

I have had a weekend full of bliss and planning with some clear messages that have been received.

First how did you all fair with the 9/9/9 energy that occurred on Friday? This is was a time of ultimate endings. Of release of relationships, behaviors, paradigms, and energy that is not moving us forward. I know for myself, this summer has been a bit of a slow paced season which is really unusual as summer is all about movement. Although I wasn’t nearly as physically active as I usually am spiritually and emotionally there was a tremendous amount of healing and growth taking place. Regardless of what type of movement you have been experiencing as the seasons change so does our flow of energy. So as the temps fall let yourself begin to slow down.

I’m taking this advice fully on as I ready to make a pretty big trip. I usually am very active during trips writing, reading, visiting different locations but I am setting the intention to be present and rest during this trip. It will probably help that I don’t speak the language very well so I probably will not want to wander around as much lol. I’m excited to spend some time in a new space.

I will also be there during the full moon and fall equinox. This is substantial for me as I feel that there is a lot of work and power I will be able to access on this trip. Hopefully this will transmute to some great writing and informaiton to share with you all.
