Greetings beloveds,

I hope you are all well. I know that there is A LOT going on right now energetically that could be affecting your equilibrium right now. On April 14th we had Jupiter sextile Pluto which held our hand as we moved to do incredible things. To move ourselves closer to our dreams. The 17th saw Chiron enter Aries while Saturn goes retrograde. We are healing our relationship to ourselves and how we interact with each other. This is highlighted by the sun moving into Taurus on the 19th who is called us to awareness of the beauty of our foundation and “home”. If we expand the definition of home to include our mind, hearts, spirit, and body, then home becomes something that we always have access to. Let us find the beauty in that space. April 17th also is the start of retrograde season! I wrote about the planets in retrograde that you can read about here. On the 19th Pluto in Capricorn joins Saturn in Scorpio in retrograde. This is an intense time of healing in so many ways.

One of the first areas that we will experience healing is in our heart space. With the planets in retrograde, sun in Taurus, and full moon in Scorpio we are deep within our feeling spaces. Strong beautiful moments when we are fully open and aware. This might feel painful because we are clearing out the experiences that have anchored us to our past. These experiences will range from ecstatic love to deep trauma.  Take a tip from Scorpio and find a space where you feel safe and secure. Perhaps a dark quiet place that is very comfortable.

As we are in the depths of our psyche and the underworld with Scorpio, Saturn, and Pluto this is a great time to tap into the wisdom of the deepest parts of the ocean.


Time to develop our own form of trimethylamine oxide (TMAO) the molecule that helps proteins work at high pressure. The animals that survive in the depths of this region survive off the remains of those that float down after their death. What have you released over the past few months? Release their remains so that you can transform.

Dress your candle if you would like to increase the power of this intention.

Take 3 deep breaths and see yourself moving through fog towards a lake. See the small boat tied to the edge of the lake with a single lantern hanging from it’s bow. Enter the boat and as you sit, it moves on its’ own disappearing into the mist. You feel no fear, only resolve to complete your journey.

The boat stops in the middle of the lake. You look around you unsure of what is next. There is a gentle splash near you. You turn towards the sound and a figure beneath the surface. You watch it swim under the water, curious. Slowly, the rather large being stops beneath your boat.

Slowly from the depths an object rises facing you. With a calm demeanor deep eyes stare into yours and find yourself facing an ancient being of a time long forgotten. It is the water dragon. A creator that has existed in your soul forever. You close your eyes not quite believing what you are seeing. The dragon moves closer to you and you reach out. Your hand tentatively reaches out touching the rough wet scales. The dragon nudges your hand closing its’ eyes. You do the same feeling a spark arise.

You are transported to a cave. What color do you see? Is it light or dark? The dragon is wrapped around an egg of light and you step forward. The dragon rises to meet you. You reach for the egg and to your surprise it dissolves into your hands with a bright flash of light.

Once upon a time, you were different. Another being who lived a life that you do not recognize. There were friends, family, situations that you encountered during that time that you released so that you could cross the lake and take this journey. The person you used to be has been transformed, reborn. What was left has now been repurposed, transformed.

Take three deep breaths. What do you see around you? What does that cave look like now? Is there anyone there? Take note of your space.

The light slowly dims and you find yourself back on the boat. The dragon nudges your hand giving you its blessing. As it moves back under the water you hear a word whispered in your mind. It is the name of the dragon. You may use this to call the energy of transformation to you whenever you may need its guidance or support. The water dragon is one of your greatest allies. It holds the wisdom of the depths beyond the light.

Hold your candle in your left hand and transfer some of the energy you absorbed from the egg. When you feel ready light the candle.

Now place your hand over your drink. Again, send some of the energy from the egg to the drink. Feel it being empowered by your will to adapt and thrive. When you ready consume your drink. Take that energy into yourself with purpose. You are a complete whole being who THRIVES in all spaces including the depths of the sea/soul. Embrace it. Feel it. Know it.

Finish this ritual with a bath or shower. Cleanse your body of what was so that you have fully engage with what you have become.

Cleansing Your Home: Let the Sunshine In

Spring is here and it’s time to let that fire energy cleanse our souls and homes. Now, let’s not set a fire in the middle of the room or anything. Oh no there’s a much easier way to let the energy of rebirth and regeneration cleanse your space. Here are three examples to get you started.

  1. Open the curtains and let the sun in!
  2. Light candles: Choose spring time scents like lemon, eucalyptus, orange, rose, lavender, peach or gardenia to change the energy of your home.
  3. Experiment through lighting options: check out different types of light bulbs and wattage
  4. Meditate on light moving through each room of your home clearing the energy.
  5. Invite the fire animals to protect and transmute the energy of your home to best serve you.

To go with this months theme of clearing it out, I want to share with you all some yoga poses that support digestion followed by a quick flow. Enjoy!

Stimulates Digestion

Warrior II – Counterpose: Downward Facing dog

Warrior I – Counterpose: Downward facing dog

Revolved Extended Side-Angle – Counterpose: standing forward bend

Revolved triangle – Counterpose: Standing forward bend

Chair – Counterpose: standing forward bend

Cobra – Counterpose: Childs pose/lying on belly

Camel – Counterpose: standing forward bend/childs pose

Bridge (pg106) Counterpose: Knee to chest

Bow – Counterpose: lying on belly/childs pose/ downward-facing dog

Start seated with your legs crossed comfortably. Inhale feeling your back lengthen and straighten as you do. Place your right hand behind you and exhale into a twist bringing your left hand onto your right knee for seated spinal twist. Hold here for 3 breaths.

Now extend your legs in front of you into staff making sure your spine is straight by imagining each vertebrae stacking one on top of the other. Inhale arms overhead and exhale bending at the waist into forward bend. Hold for as long as you need.

Inhale slowly raising your arms overhead and exhale lowering your arms. Repeat 2 times.

Next, spread your legs as far apart as is comfortable for you into a v shape. Inhale arms up exhale bending at the waist placing your hands on the floor in front of you where ever you feel comfortable for open angle. Hold for 2 breaths then on your next inhale raise up slightly and on the exhale bend forward from the waist lowering deeper into the pose. Hold here for 2 breaths. Repeat as many times as you like until you have reached the deepest pose for you.

Now inhale slowly raising up out of the pose and find yourself in legs together, abdominal muscles activated, arms comfortable at your side. Inhale raising your arms overhead letting your shoulders slide gently down holding your arms parallel to each other elbows and palms facing inwards into Mountain pose. Take 2 breaths and then exhale lowering your arms as you do so. Repeat 2 times. On the third, exhale bend forward at the waist for standing forward bend. Repeat this again 2 times. Return to standing position arms lowered at your sides once again.

Plant your right food firmly on the ground at the front of your mat if you are using one, feeling each toe connect with the ground. Step your left foot back behind you with your foot turned out. Align yourself until your hips are squared. Inhale slightly up and exhale bending forward at the waist placing your hands upon the ground or blocks if needed. Exhale, rotating your core and bringing your left arm up so your fingertips are facing the ceiling or sky. Let your head follow the stretch of your arm looking upward into Revolved Triangle. Hold for 2 breaths or longer if desired. When ready, exhale lowering your left arm down along with rotating your core back towards the ground. Inhale, slowly raising up from the waist bring your arms arms to rest on your hips.

Inhale rising up slightly. Exhale bending your right knee at a 90 degree angle into lunge, your left foot turned outwards. Place your hands firmly either on your knee to steady yourself. When you’re ready inhale your arms up in the same fashion used in Mountain pose for Warrior. Breath here, using your feet to feel the connection to the ground. Your weight should be centered in your hips, your core strong supporting your upper body. Hold here for 4 breaths. Inhale raising up just slightly and exhale releasing your arms back to your knee.

On your next exhale place your right arm on the outside of your upper right thigh rotating your core but leaving your left arm still on your knee. Inhale, and on your next exhale hook your left arm pit as deeply as you can into your knee letting your right arm lift up extending overhead. This should create a relatively straight line down from the fingertips of your right hand down to your left foot. Breathe here in Revolved Extended Side-Angle. If you are feeling too challenged here, lower that right arm and raise your left forearm to bring your hands into prayer pose. Your core still rotated to the right. Hold and breathe here. When you are ready, exhale lowering that left arm to the ground placing your right hand on your right hip. Inhale, raise up slightly moving your left arm to your right knee and bring your right hand to meet it there.

Both hands resting upon your knee on your next inhale step your left leg forward both feet together knees slightly bent. Steady your yourself and inhale slowly rising up into standing. Repeat again on your left side.

Once done, standing tall inhale your arms up overhead into Mountain and then exhale releasing your arms to your side. Repeat as many times as desired. On your last exhale bring your hands together in Prayer pose at your heart chakra.

Clear it Out: A Smoothie for Releasing

I hope you all are having a beautiful new year. With the setting of goals, intentions, and resolutions many are looking to change, renew, or improve their health through their eating habits and lifestyle. For me, this past year has been a struggle for me to maintain a consistent diet (eating habits) and movement schedule. I would get into a good flow and then get scooped out of it through travel, work obligations, spiritual quests, and emotional personal events. The blessing that came from this was a bit of freedom as I had to let go of my strict routine and begin to let the experiences that wanted to be in my life come through. Now you may be thinking, food doesn’t have that much power or that much purpose. I beg to differ. If truly, all is made of energy and that energy has its own drive and direction then the atoms that make up food also has these qualities. We align or do not align with that flow. So as we work to release resistance and fear (how many times have we demonized different types of foods from fats, salt, and even meat) throughout our lives here’s a quick recipe for a soup that will get you going *wink wink* in more ways than one.

Rose’s Clear You Out Smoothie

1 Tablespoon of Chia Seeds

2-3 Stalks of Fennel

Handful of Dandelion Root

4-5 Leaves of Kale

2 Stalks Celery

1 Lemon

2 Apples (Honey Crisp are delicious)

New Moon in Aries: Now We Get It

Ohh it’s the new moon in Aries and we are feeling ALL brand new. Releasing, cleansing, redirecting, rebirthing, re-being. We are in that space of our crown chakra consciously aware of our higher self and divine connection. It’s flowing around us and we feel POWERFUL. As such we are allowing our love languages to be fully acknowledged. For many they are seeking physical touch. That connection that grounds us but also sets us free. There is a beauty in this space. When we look through a lens of our higher self we find the beauty in everything around us.

The recommendation during this time is to be open to the influence, messages, wisdom, and knowledge of our ancestors, ancient ones, and elders. Find time to meditate, hold communion, or ritual to connect with these energies. This again ground you in the spirit of authentic grace and intuition. Aries can get a bad rep as brash, overconfident, and rude. This new moon in Aries shows us the light that Aries feels that at times makes them come across this way. If you were feeling this good all the time you would probably behave this way too. Accept this energy and move freely into it.

We are prepping for retrograde season so grab up all the goodness that you can to carry you through this time.


April Retrogrades: Mercury, Saturn, Pluto and Jupiter

I hope you all have been taking time for yourselves and focusing on your well being. It’s April already! Although it hasn’t really felt like it yet, spring is here bringing us fully into the season of resurrection and rebirth. Here’s your April Astrological forecast to help you through the labor process.

First we have Jupiter sextile Pluto on April 17th a positive position which provides us with the support we have been desiring to find direction on our path. If it seems as if everything is ALMOST ready to fall into place, this might be the time when that finally happens for you. Clear, cleanse, and be open to the opportunities that are presented to you. Pay special attention to small gestures as they may actual lead to huge advancements. Jupiter as the planet of luck and growth partnered with Pluto our planet of rebirth and resurrection creates the perfect environment to bring the dreams you thought were no longer possible back to life. Did you give up on a career, business, relationship, project or yourself? The doors that were shut before are now cracked open waiting for you to make the next move. Be brave!

On April 22nd, Mercury goes direct and it’s the new moon in Aries. Babes, if you have not come up from the underworld yet, it’s time. The world misses your light. The planet of communication and technology is spinning forward and we are resting in what we have gathered during our time in the shadow realm. Take your renewed self and come back darlings. We’ll be connecting with our higher selves during this new moon, as we feel the pull upwards towards our crown chakra. Psychic energy will be heightened at this time so prepare to have your extrasensory abilities be activated, particularly in relation to kinetic energy, your ancestors, and aesthetics.

On April 17th Saturn goes retrograde and Pluto joins it on April 22nd. Saturn retrograde calls us to slow ALL the way down. Take a moment to breath and reflect upon where we are. There is a scene in Titanic where Thomas Andrews checks his watch and then corrects the time on the clock. It is a deeply impactful moment where the concept of time is flipped. Over and over the discussion during the film surrounding time was to make the ship go faster. To not only be the biggest ship but to make the journey to New York in record time. Making good use of our time reflects the impact that time has on our perception of success. Faster, quicker, more, more, more. That is the drive of our Saturnian society. That growth comes through hard work, pushing more, going further than anyone else to achieve what has never been done before. Yet, it was this very drive that contributed to that unfortunate voyage. We keep pushing forward until something forces us to stop. This Saturn retrograde is the force which causes us to slow down and reflect upon where we find ourselves.

Your worth is not based on what you can produce, complete, or provide for others.

Pluto is the energy of death and rebirth. Of endings and new beginnings. Pluto rules over the sign of Scorpio, the water sign of our subconscious shadow. The deep dark recesses of our being that is unafraid to dive into the dark murky waters where predators lurk. Often, the predators in that space are the parks of ourselves that we reject push down until they grow into beasts that are beyond our control. Pluto, as the ruler of this space revels there. This is his kingdom. There is nothing there that is beyond his ability to understand, transform, and resurrect. The normal progression of time has slowed, the normal progression of life and death has slowed. We are truly in a liminal space where the laws of nature no longer applied. While this can bring freedom for some it can also be disturbing if one does not cope well with unstructured time and space,

With Pluto and Saturn both in retrograde in the sign of Capricorn, signifies an economic or material revolution. The ways we interact with money, status, power, leadership, death, and life will be re-evaluated. Capricorn is the bringer of light in the darkness of winter. They represent that space when we are completely in the underworld. Fully beyond the 7th gate. What brings you security? What has created your foundation? In what way does your shadow rule your life? Those inner drives that make us feel anxious in a crowd, constantly checking our bank accounts, concerned over retirement, fearful of becoming homeless, destitute, unemployed, losing your family, our car, our friends, ourselves. We mitigate these drives through coping mechanisms. During this retrograde, we can drop the facade.

Embrace your shadow and the stories you tell yourself about what you lack. Face the forces that insist there isn’t enough for everyone and show them there is another way. The light side of Capricorn: Community, love, compassion, empathy, sustainability, and giving. Build your new foundation on these principals and be reborn.




Soul Work: 7 Day Chakra Cleanse

Just as the season is going through some birthing pangs, we are as well. It is during this time of great change that it is wise to take a break from our normal routine to adjust. For the soul, developing a ritual or new habit can reset our energetic patterns. A simple way to accomplish this is to clear your energy centers. Here’s my 7 Day Chakra Cleanse for the Soul. Mix and match to suit your tastes/needs. I’ve found that it’s easiest to make a smoothie in the morning with the chosen foods and then eat as you feel called for the rest of the day. The morning smoothie sets the energy for the day and brings your attention towards balancing that energy center. Finish your day with a meditation of your choice.

Day 1- Root Chakra
