Ok we are going to get a little technical here.
As I mentioned, Venus follows a cycle where she crosses the horizon moving back and forth from being a Morning Star to an Evening Star.
Either late March 1st or early March 2nd, Venus stationed retrograde at 10 degrees Aries. Aries has been one of five signs that Venus has transitioned from Morning from Evening Star in. This change in designation correspond to Venus’s superior or inferior conjunctions with the Sun.
In the Venus cycle, Venus is born as the Evening Star during it’s superior conjunction with the Sun. During a superior conjunction, Venus is invisible from Earth because it is completely behind the Sun for two to three days. On the day following its time of invisibility behind the Sun, Venus can then be seen setting in the West in the Evening. Venus travels along an infinity shaped loop heading towards its greatest elongation and maximum brightness until it reaches its point of evening station. This is also when Venus stations retrograde.
This is where we currently are. March 19th will be Venus’s last day of visibility. The last time we will see Venus as the Evening Star, before we lose visibility of the planet due to its inferior conjunction with the Sun. During an inferior conjunction, Venus is located between Earth and the Sun causing us to lose visibility of it because it is lost in the glare of the Sun.
Spring Equinox passes on March 20th, closely followed by the Venus inferior conjunction on March 23rd where Venus is reborn as the Morning Star. I’m testing out connecting this point, the inferior conjunction as when symbolically Ereshkigal is going through the birthing pangs and Inanna as Venus is being reborn. We have three days where Venus is the Morning Star, but is still invisible to us. What happens during those three days? Would this be the time when Inanna is pursued by the Galla and ascends from the underworld? Does that take a full three days? Or perhaps does the birthing and giving Inanna’s corpse the bread and waters of life a process that takes three days?
I’ll be tracking and testing out how this feels or doesn’t feel in alignment. Now you may note, Venus is still in retrograde. Venus does not station direct until April 13th. This aligns well with Inanna’s Descent into the Underworld as the myth continues after her rebirth to meeting with Dumuzi. This also aligns with the Heroines Journey where after the Healing of the Mother/Daughter wound we have Healing of the wounded masculine and integration of the masculine and feminine before the cycle restarts.
We shall see if this matches the vibes and fits or if perhaps there are some changes that need to be made.
