The light and the shadow. One and the same. No matter how we try to pin them against each other, they slip from our grasp until we recognize that they are reflections of each other.
As there are Goddesses that I work with related to Life and Death, so are there Gods or divine beings. I have shared resources on them before.
Osiris. Dionysus. Quetzalcoatl. Cernunnos. Jesus.
Each of these beings provides us with a lens through which to understand shadow work. Read their myths, stories, and tales. See how they relate to what you are encountering. See how they remind you of others in your life. This will help us to identify our projections and blind spots.
I am currently reading about Osiris as I connect with Isis during the summer. As such, there are several festival days coming up in July for the Neter. Although the dates vary, July is an excellent time to honor Osiris, Horus (the elder), Set, Isis, and Nepthys. Here are the days and their associations.
July 27th– Osiris
July 28th – Horus the Elder
July 29th – Set
July 30th – Isis
July 31st – Nepthys
