Tuesday is Mars day and it seems appropriate to take time to write about our planet of life, passion, and honorable endings today.
As of writing this, Venus retrograde in Leo ended on the 4th. We all examined our relationship with ourselves to gain clarity on what WE want, need, and can provide in partnership: WHAT WE VALUE.
The mirror was turned from the other to the self. Allowing us to look deeply within and reconnect with our soul as the sun of our universe. The mirror then shifted and we were faced with the other again. What did we find reflected back to us now? If things were out of alignment, we were invited to clean the mirror with those around us – family, friends, lovers, co-workers, and associates. To correct our image.
In support of this, Mars in Libra increases our drive to experience intimacy. In order to do that Mars lends us the courage to be honest about our needs, boundaries, and experiences -no matter how painful they may have been. To acknowledge that the people in our lives are different from us with their own needs and experiences. Therefore to come together we will need to have compassion, respect, and diplomacy for ourself and the other.
The key here is: honesty.
Venus retrograde in Leo showed us the truth of what we want and need. Can we be brave enough to share that with others? To embrace that this may change our relationships? Mars says that we can. It’s been waiting for us to connect with it’s energies. To speak up with the tact and flair that only can be found in the sign of Libra. This energy helps make awkward conversations flow, anger simmer instead of boil, and finding common ground easier.
Take a little time to get clear on things. We are in Virgo season and everything is in retrograde anyway. Take your time. There is no rush, but be mindful of what you want to carry into fall with you. Perhaps you are intentionally not cutting ties in order to leave them in the underworld over the next 6 months. Perhaps you just aren’t ready yet. That’s ok. That’s what these seasons are for.
Towards the end winter 2023 on February 22, 2024 Mars and Venus will come together in the sign of Aquarius. Aquarius the sign in opposition to Leo. A moment in which the wisdom we gained during Venus retrograde ending with Mars in Libra, will come to a space of release. Aquarius calls us to find freedom. Freedom from social conditioning, obligation to social norms and expectations. To be true to who we are. We found some of this truth with Venus in Leo. We began to be brave in speaking this truth to others with Mars in Libra.
Now, Venus and Mars together ask us to fully step forward. To love yourself and be able to love others. To experience intimacy despite how scary that might be. To be a warrior for YOURSELF and honor your needs while still respecting the other.
The Venus/Mars conjunction takes place during the moment when Pluto moves into Aquarius. Mercury will be on it’s way out of Aquarius into Pisces. That’s not all going on in Pisces though. The Sun, Saturn, and Neptune are all hanging out in Pisces. It’s a time of deep reflection. The mind (Aquarius) and the soul (Pisces). The conscious and the unconscious integrating. February will be magical. But we will get into that more later.
