Walking the Rose of Venus Path: Venus, the Esoteric Ruler of Gemini

Hello, my loves,

We are officially in Gemini season! Gemini energy is light, airy, fun, and engaging. We seek mental stimulation during Gemini times. We need a way to keep the mind occupied, or we may fall into the shadow of Gemini, boredom. And when Gemini is bored, they can get into all types of trouble.

We gather information in Gemini through learning, listening, exploring, and connecting with others. That information is put to the test through the other signs before becoming wisdom in Sagittarius. Gemini gives us the energy to explore and grow, to appreciate learning. If we take the time to collect our ideas, which have been shaped by the information we have taken in, then we can put that information together in new and different ways. From there, we can test those ideas and hypotheses to determine what is true or circumstantial. Synthesis is the name of the game for the journey from Gemini to Sagittarius.

Gemini season also makes us aware of the illusion of the Maya (reality), the seeming duality of existence. Duality exists in many forms. Internally, as the conscious/unconscious, externally as the other. Gemini season brings with it a tendency to project our shadow externally, while the twin dualism of Gemini is an invitation to take note of the shadow within. Forming a relationship with the unconscious parts of us and with others in life helps us to surpass our likes, dislikes, preferences, and aversions.

Gemini is associated with siblings, particularly the twin. A place where the other can be seen outside of the Self. We may be looking for someone who uniquely understands us and reflects us completely. In romantic relationships, Gemini desires mental freedom and may prefer a partner who travels or provides a lot of physical space for the Gemini to pursue their dreams. This can result in mental/emotional affairs if too much space or time apart occurs.

Venus as the esoteric ruler of Gemini, helps with grounding the airy/fiery energy of the puer Gemini. The puer is the desire and part of us that never wants to grow up. To escape responsibility as the forever student, the lover, and the trickster. Working with Venus, brings maturity to the puer through bringing together air and earth energy. Venus is harmony – the power of Eros (Venus and Mars) to reconcile opposites, heal all misunderstandings, and transcend duality. The manifestation of erotic power in action.

Working with Venus can help us to make up the mind so that the seeker can complete a task or make a decision. Venus combined with Mercury helps us get focused and get the creative juices flowing.

Here’s how to work with Venus this Gemini season:

  • Look at the house Venus is in. This is where she wants to be comfortable, has talents, but also does not want to work too much.
  • Then look at the aspects that Venus makes with other planets, especially in planets in Gemini.
    • Conjunctions, trines, and sextiles reveal what areas are supportive and helpful. They may also be the connections where Venus is laziest because the flow is TOO easy.
    • Oppositions, squares, and other aspects that are more difficult show us where we will need to take more time and attention to align the energy of Venus with the other planet/sign.

Lean into your curiosity, my loves! This is a time for fun and play.

Happy Gemini Season!

With love,
