Hi, my loves,
Welcome to another astrology post. This time focusing on the movement from Gemini, to its opposition in Sagittarius, to Cancer, with a little preview of the upcoming Capricorn energy.
Gemini season is a time of light, airy adventure, wonder, and exploration. We attune our attention towards what sparks the imagination. In an era where attention is the currency on which the attention economy functions, we must know our worth. Gemini, as mutable air, loves change. To flit from one subject that catches its eye to another. This serves an attention economy well that banks on our inability to focus and narrow our aim.
Gemini also reminds us of the joys of our youth. Where possibilities felt endless and magic was real. Some of us may still live there, but as we gain more responsibilities and the weight of Saturn looms larger in our lives, the quick, beguiling movement of Mercury, the mundane ruler of Gemini, slows.
Where do you find yourself with this Gemini energy? Are you exploring the range of what is available to you? Perhaps you are enrolling in a new program to learn more about a subject that has caught your interest? In the Northern hemisphere, as we head towards summer, the temperatures continue to rise, inviting us to venture out of our homes to spend time with loved ones, our community, and expand our circles.
The lure of Gemini energy is to remain forever free to wander and learn. To stay always on the move, avoiding attachment and the dull everyday tasks of life. It is the drive of the Puer Aeternus/Puella, or the eternal boy/girl. To never have to grow up.

This also includes living in one’s mind, constantly overthinking, and looking for the next clue that will solve the never-ending puzzle of life. This season engages the mind. It is a place where the thinking type thrives.
Over the past seven to eight years, our focus has been on defining our values with Uranus in Taurus. Our values represent what matters most to us. Once our values are identified, we use those to frame our behaviors. It is often easy to say that we value something, but our actions may suggest a different story. The gap between what we think is important to us, our expression of that importance, and our actions can vary in degree. As we shift from Taurus to Gemini, the story we tell, the beliefs we hold, and the way we behave will become the cornerstone of how we will be able to respond to the next great change.
Uranus’s move into Gemini on July 5, 2025 indicates that shift into the next great change. This time, the transformation will center on how we communicate, connect, and share our thoughts. We have received a preview of what this looks like with Jupiter’s transit through Gemini that started on May 25th, 2024. Take note of what has occurred in the realm of communication, education, technology, and information sharing over the past year. What topics and areas have we seen come into focus?
Jupiter shines a light on what is already there. In Gemini, this looks like the tension between the acceptance of our mortality that allows us to grow up and no longer remain the boy wonder, and the desire to stay forever young. Jupiter will be in Gemini until June 9th, 2025 when it will transition into its sign of exaltation, Cancer.
We are following the path of transformation and growth. As Uranus moves into Gemini, topics and areas associated with Mercury will become more prominent, as will its esoteric ruler, Venus. My posts on the Walking the Rose of Venus Path are a guide to navigating the prominent role that Venus and part its’ attributes play in the alchemical process of inner work. Here, Venus serves as the initiator of growing from child to adult.
Jupiter’s transition into Cancer shifts our attention from the child to highlight our relationship to the archetype of the Mother. We have already received a preview of this as well from the Mars retrograde that occurred earlier this year. The Mars retrograde from Leo to Cancer revealed the places where our inner child needed to return to heal its relationship to the Mother to fully express itself. The Jupiter transit will continue that story as well as expand upon any other unconscious stories about who we are, who we can be, and what we deserve when it comes to being loved. More so, Jupiter in Cancer will ask us if we are ready to take the information we have gathered from its time in Gemini and give it the care that we need to grow.
Jupiter, as the mundane ruler of Sagittarius, is a planet that shows us not only where we can find joy and ecstasy, but also where we can grow to become more than what we ever imagined. A life where we can rest and be at peace. Any planets that travel through Gemini will activate the oppositional energy of Sagittarius. Sagittarius serves as the sign of faith, temperance, higher education, and justice based on the hope that only accessing truth can give us. As Uranus moves through Gemini, Sagittarius can provide us with assistance in exploring solutions to integrating the shadows that have been and will be revealed to us.
The upcoming full moon in Sagittarius is a chance to glimpse what lies at the end of the arrow’s path. To connect to the vision of where we are going and how to get there. Above all else, the full moon in Sagittarius is an opportunity to take the information gathered through Gemini season, combine that with the personal knowledge that Saturn and Neptune in Aries tell us about our physical forms that serve as the vehicle that houses our essence, to create something new. A new more complete and complex sense of Self due to following through with the alchemy of integration.
We’ll talk more about the Mother archetype, Venus, and the upcoming emphasis of Capricorn/Saturn energy in the next few posts.
With love,
Kamilah Rose
