In 2022-2023, we were being guided through the Taurus/Scorpio Nodal axis, which called for us to dig deep and let go. Now, we can consider the outcome of either coming clean or keeping those bad habits. The worst thing to happen to a Taurus or a Scorpio is feeling a lack of control over what they can share about themselves. When their exposure is outside of their control. For Scorpios, it is like they are pulled from their cave or hiding space against their will. For Taurus, it is losing their sense of peace due to being exposed to a hectic and unstable environment.
As the nodes shifted into Aries and Libra, we saw this play out. Did you find yourself reborn into the life of your dreams, or are you DOA? Venus is currently in the underworld, releasing its powers and life force to be reborn. Here, Venus is uncovered, exposed, and made vulnerable.
And how is this coming to pass? Through the realm of Gemini. Our words, intellect, information synthesis, our truth. To be successful in this one, one need only to read the writing on the wall. To surrender to the call of the underworld. To be judged and reborn.
Over the past few years, judgment has gotten a bad rap. Folks shied away from judging. For many, it was a strong response to being judged as they were growing up by parents and society. What felt like judgment was really projection—parents and society projecting their expectations and shadow onto others. Judgment allows us to make a final decision after weighing out the facts of what has occurred.
Oya often is that which tears us apart. Which invites us to a journey within to reunite with those parts of ourselves that we have pushed into the unconscious. There is a part of that whole self that always is left behind. Inanna responds to the call into the underworld. It is the assignment from Venus that Psyche must complete. Goddesses and gods that journey to the underworld provide examples of how we too can successfully complete the reunification process.
When Venus is completely hidden by the Sun during the superior conjunction, it is that time when the Goddess has lost her previous life. Inanna has been judged and hung upon the meat hook. Psyche opened the casket and dared to take a look at the gift of divine beauty even when she had been warned not to. Her act of defiance led to a death like sleep. Oya becomes a wife and mother. She accepts where she now is in life, even when it was not by her choice. No longer a walker between worlds, but solidly in one.
Today, on the superior conjunction, is the day when our old life ends. We are given the opportunity to release the past versions of ourselves completely. More so, this is the final sacrifice: when we finally let go of that part of us that wants to hold on to who and what we thought we were.
Just for today, allow yourself to exist as someone who has no past – good or bad. You have a clean slate.
- What is that person like? What do they do? What do they believe?
- How does this person connect with others? What conversations are they having?
- How do you speak to yourself? How do you engage with others?
- What would you be learning about? What would you be filling your day with?
This process of becoming matters. You matter.
