Hi, my loves,
We have a full moon in Taurus on November 5th at approximately 7:20 central standard time. This full moon provides an opportunity to connect with our senses and bodies before we go through a major integration during the new moon in Scorpio on November 20th.
This full moon features the sun in Scorpio in opposition to the moon in Taurus, which brings fixed water and fire together. Taurus, ruled by Venus, is associated with what brings us peace within the physical, from our bodies to our environment. I like to think of Taurus as where we experience the physical sensations which either make us feel calm or make us uncomfortable. Sometimes, that discomfort can even be from becoming activated or triggered from an experience. The psychological, physical, and energetic response that we have to a momentary or chronic trauma lives on within us until it is metabolized and processed.
This full moon, we are invited to go within and do the inner work of re-membering ourselves through our senses to identify any work that is needed, release, and integrate.
This is further supported by the Mars and Mercury conjunction in Sagittarius. Mercury is only in Sagittarius briefly before it goes retrograde on November 9th. Mercury and Mars together combine to create Magician energy. A strong compulsion to take action through accessing our resources and determining where to direct our will. In this case, we are drawn towards learning through experience. By working with our inner Magician, we can dare to take chances, explore, and expand our understanding of the world. But this energy can also lead us to taking chances without thinking things through or taking into account the details needed to make the bigger picture a reality.
This is an excellent time to travel, go places you’ve never been before, or seek out a new experience. It could be as simple as trying a new dish, going to a different park, taking a new route home, or changing your routine. Anything that opens your mind up to new possibilities will be supported with this energy.
Here are some prompts to consider during this transit:
- Do we know what unconsciously drives us?
- What will actually help us to expand?
- Where do we need to be more honest and vulnerable before we can speak and explore that truth?
Mars in Sag Trine 0 degrees very close to late degree in water signs
Because Mars is right at the edge of Sagittarius, it is still aspecting the planets at the end of the water signs. Mars in Sagittarius is a true explorer. They learn and grow through travel, taking classes, and learning about people, cultures, and places that are very different than themselves. This energy trines or is supported by Jupiter in Cancer and Saturn/ Neptune in Pisces. Mars in Sag to Jupiter in Cancer suggests that healing our relationship with the Mother archetype, home, and safety will come from being brave and exploring worlds different from those we grew up in. Mars in Sag to the planets in Pisces takes us to task. Saturn gives form to our dreams, desires, and spirituality. It asks us to let go of the beliefs and rituals that have kept us trapped. Neptune is the planet of dreams and illusions. It rests at the edge of the unconscious. Neptune in Pisces gives us access to a world we could only imagine. At the same time, without being willing to do the work Saturn requires of us, we will only have dreams that turn into sand, drifting down into the bottom of an hourglass and never becoming real. Over the next month, we will take chances that expose us to people and experiences that can help our dreams come true. Here, we will decide if it is what we want or if we are brave enough to follow through.
We also have Venus in Libra, creating a square to Jupiter in Cancer, occurring during this full moon. Venus in Libra encourages us to seek balance in relationships. To examine whether our partnerships bring us peace of mind and heart, or make us feel uncomfortable because it is out of place. Jupiter in Cancer, though, is looking to heal our hearts so we can find a sense of home. The two energies can bump heads as we attempt to balance a sense of connection with strong boundaries. Jupiter in Cancer brings us face to face with the archetype of the mother. In some instances, this can be a kind, nurturing, good enough figure, but in others, it can become an all-consuming entity that devours us. Making us feel that we cannot make our own decisions for fear of being ostracized or abandoned. This full moon, we are called to create our own sense of safety. To choose how we communicate with care and grace. Lastly, we are encouraged to find partnerships and build community with those who would never make us choose between what is best for us and what makes them feel happy.
Venus in Libra is also square to Pluto in Aquarius because of how late in Libra Venus is. Pluto in Aquarius has been pushing us out of our comfort zone in the areas of community, altruism, and the path to individuation. Venus in Libra is still looking for the perfect fit. Here we have cardinal air, a clarity in heart in mind which changes the way we look at relationships with fixed air, a stabilization of that new self which allows us to find and release the relationships that do not align with who we have become.
Lastly, we have Jupiter in Cancer trine Saturn and Neptune in Pisces. This is good supportive energy. We are curious and ready to break out of the box. We hunger for new ideas, conversations, and ways of understanding our world around us. We want to find what heals us and makes us feel safe. We want to try out new ways of making our dreams come true and are willing to test out what commitment to our dreams looks like. This energy, along with Pluto in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus, is supporting our path towards individuation. This path, though, may feel treacherous, like a hero or heroine on their journey to complete their task that will fulfill their destiny, but we will meet helpers along the way when we least expect them.
