Let’s talk new moon in Libra. Yes yes love yourself and each other. Blah blah reexamine your relationships and release those that don’t serve you. I’ll say as a Libra this is been a great season for me. Very busy and I’m tried all the time but just so many good things. Now yes, politics are trash lately but that hasn’t had that much of an affect on my daily emotional state. I realized that as Libra usually does once we’ve made our judgement there isn’t a drive to be emotionally invested.
Here’s a tip for this new moon in Libra and Libra season: I encourage you to behave like a Libra. Now I know some of you are like “ugh gross!” but hear me out. Libra’s are built for our current state of society. Think about it. Balance, harmony, extreme changes, discerning, the connectors of the astrological gang. When you need to bring people together you grab a Libra. Having a hard time seeing a different perspective, a Libra will argue you down on both viewpoints. Always in the crowd but in their own world. Connected enough to experience the energy of the world but detached enough to develop practical next steps. Also, they know how to practice some great self-care when they aren’t taking care of everyone else.
There’s a lot of emotional energy active right now. We’re getting ready to sllooooowww down and ground in winter, but we are making sense of what happened this summer right now. Be gentle with yourself. Make a daily schedule, meet up with friends, look at the sunset, moon, and stars. There’s so much beauty in this world but equal to that is the capacity for cruelty. We experience moments of joy and pain pulling for our attention. Clawing at us. So, here’s my Libra advice to you as you take up our mantle this season. Be the fulcrum. The scales tip and sway. They are in constant motion with every breath shifting. The fulcrum is the foundation. It holds the center so that eventually as things begin to settle down balance can be found.
Oya is the Goddess of Life and Death who made her presence very well known for this season and Libra moons. (Storms anyone?) I’ll caution you against just putting up an altar to this Orisha. She is a very powerful being and a part of a closed system. But she is here to clear some things out. Just let her do her job. I caution you to do the same. Find your purpose and follow it. Starve the distractions and stay steady like the fulcrum. Everything else around you will shift but know your truth and you will always find your path.
Oh and there’s always room for anything that makes you feel beautiful darling. You’re worth all of this hard work. And if you get tired, just give what’s left to a Virgo lol.
Never lose your sense of humor,
