January’s full moon in Leo was tough. The moon came in tearing down what you thought could have been and bringing you to what really is. Now you are being called to be love and whole. In a month where our focus is drawn to romantic love due to a capitalist push for consumption, examining our relationship towards the self and universal love calls us to look beyond the surface of hearts, chocolate, and cards. Here’s a quick heart chakra meditation to help you with that.

There’s a game called The Labyrinth. In that game there is a wooden box with a cover that can be tilted with holes and walls on it. You have a silver ball that you place at the start and then through tilting the cover you attempt to move the ball to the finish. The walls assist you in avoiding the holes. It takes time and patience to reach the end because this is a game of balance.

Labyrinth is an excellent metaphor for the energy of the February new moon in Aquarius. Now is a time to find a quiet space and come back to self. It is difficult to take things slow when you are ready to move forward. When you can see the finish line but you have to make so many moves to get there. There are no short cuts. There’s no cheating. Just doing the work, taking your time, and having faith that you are on the right path.
