28 Days of Love: Decluttering Activity

Hi lovies,

We’ve been having some great discussion on the importance of cleansing and taking time to declutter our homes in order to create space for new energy to be cultivated. Today I’ll share a quick decluttering activity to get us moving.

I’m sure you all have heard of the three fold decluttering law. Lol I know you’re thinking no, but believe me you have.

The Three Fold Decluttering Law:

From three piles we create space.

By dividing into keep, trash, and donate.

Pretty easy but that’s your activity for the day. Pick a surface, room, or portion of your home depending on your energy level and what your intuition guides you to tackle. From there you can pick a space or use reusable/trash bags to designate between the items that you will keep, throw away, recycle, or donate.

Now this is an exercise that you want to provide plenty of time to complete because you will want to take a moment with each item that you encounter. For some it literally will be a quick second of regard if it’s an item that you have no attachment to and are sure of where you would like to place that item. Others not so much. Sit with the item and determine if you are thinking of keeping it what is your motivation to do so. Do you have an emotional connection? Nostalgia and sentimental value? Is it an item that you use often? Ask yourself these questions and determine whether you actually need to keep that item. If it’s an emotional response explore what that emotion is that is attached to the item and why. If the item is attached to emotions that you would not like experience then perhaps it’s time to place that item in the donate/trash pile depending on its condition.

As you may have begun to notice, the items that hold space in our homes not only take up physical space but emotional, mental, and especially energetic space. So while you are going through your things keep this in mind that there is more tied to your items then just their physical presence. Clearing, moving, and cleaning gets this energy moving or completely removed from your personal energy so you are able to create room/space.

Go over each item in the designated space you chose. Once that’s complete move all the items you have decided to keep and give the space a thorough cleansing. Repeat this process by moving from space to space and room to room until you have gone through your entire home or living space. Once that’s’ finished using smoke, sound, water, or whatever your preferred from of energetic cleansing may be clear your home.

That’s our decluttering and energy clearing activity for the week. Here’s to cleansing, clearing, and manifesting!

Cleansing the Home: Creating Space for Love

tumblr_nc7gtx9eBm1tk6ch2o1_1280.jpg (714×474)

Hi lovies,

I hope you all are having a wonderful day. Spring is coming and I suspect everyone is beginning to feel the need to start clearing up energy in and around your home. This may sound like a story that an adult would try to tell you to get you to tidy up but cleaning is a spiritual act. It is a physical act which literally moves energy. The act of cleaning and redecorating can allow for old energy to be released and new energy to be brought in. We focus a bit of time and energy on clearing our physical and etheric energy attached to our bodies and souls. It is important to take time to focus on clearing the physical space that you inhabit as well.

If you find that you are feeling a bit stagnant, have a large goal you would like to achieve or are wanting to add a little oomph to your manifestations decluttering and cleaning can assist you in all these efforts. As we have discussed, energy is always being transmuted and transformed. When you have a desire that you would like to see come to fruition this requires energy that is currently being put to use in one area to be to be transmuted to another. For example, you may want to change where you are currently living but find it difficult to find a space that meets your needs, desires, or budget. It’s a great idea then to examine what the energy is like in your current location.

Do you have a lot of items that you rarely use? Are your belongings ready to be moved or would changing spaces be a cumbersome stressful event? Is the space you are in clean and ready to be vacated? These factors all contribute to the flow of energy in your home and manifesting your goal. So what needs to be done to start the energy flowing towards moving?

First, you may want to go over your belongings and see what you may be holding onto in that space which may energetically tying you to that location. Remove those that are not supporting your endeavor. Now it’s time to look at whether your space is ready to be vacated so start cleaning up. Begin behaving as if your manifestation has already occurred. This is the magic of clearing our space. It creates room for new things, energy, dreams to come forth.

This same theory applies in the same way to our relationship to our self, others and the heart centered connection we have with everything. Supporting healthy, nurturing and love inducing connections not only performs the task of maintaining our relationships but either transforming or releasing those that do not serve us. Thus if you feel you are wanting more love either to give to yourself, others, or to receive it may be time to re-evaluate the state of the energy within your home or living space to see if it is putting out the message that you would like to deliver. If not then it’s time to start cleaning up and clearing out so that you create space for what you would like to have in your life.

I hope that you will stop by tomorrow where we’ll be sharing a fun decluttering and energy clearing activity. Have a beautiful day loves!

February Journal Prompt

Hi Lovies,

This month our journal prompt is CONNECTION. This seemed like an excellent word to journal about during the month of love, Aquarius season, and as we are reminded time and time again of how important our connections are to our ability to thrive.

What does connection mean to you? Is it limited to humans or do you feel connected to the world, nature, buildings, or animals?

How do you develop connection? Is it something that you seek out or do you feel that it has to occur spontaneously?

Our connections are vast and significant. May you be honored and blessed with nurturing healing connections.

Hi Lovies,

Oh you thought that we forgot about the food part right? Here we are again at my favorite part of the week. Let’s return to our discussion on the brain, health, and spirituality.

There are many foods that contribute to the health of our brain. We want to make sure that we are getting those healthy fats to make sure that the myelin sheeth stays pliable, strong and functioning well so those neural messages are able to be sent from . Then you want all the leafy greens an vegetables because they have all the vitamins, nutrients, and minerals. Lastly, of course we should be drinking lots of water to keep ourselves hydrated.

So here’s a list of food to keep your brain happy!

Avocados

Walnuts

Salmon

Broccoli

Beets

Blueberries

Celery

Leafy Greens

Dark Chocolate

Rosemary

28 Days of Love: Week 4 The Connection between the Heart and Home

1f18044af5d53bdc881479b8aa59848d.jpg (640×640)

Hi Lovies,

This month has gone by so quickly! I have to admit though I have been looking forward to this week since I started this project. Week 4 is all about creating a loving heart centered living space. Why do I find this to be the most appealing topic of them all? Because our homes, living, work, cars, and other sacred spaces are the external containers of our energy. They can be the closest (or furthest which we will discuss later) to a safe space that one can encounter. Our homes have such powerful energy associated with them and can affect huge portions of our lives. Yet we are not always called to give them the attention and energy that they can require. When one is trying to stay afloat in a world gone mad maintaining and creating a loving container is one of the most important tasks that we can take upon ourselves to prioritize along with other self-care activities. Perhaps it’s time to check your self-care list and see if there are one or two activities that focus on the care of your home. Perhaps it’s time to start seeing our spaces that we reside in as extensions of ourselves and find balance in those energies.

This week we will explore the heart and the home. The importance of cleansing our living space through clearing and decluttering. Then we will discuss a little bit of the ancient Chinese practice of feng shui so we will know about the relationship between energy, movement, and our homes. After which, we’ll identify the love and relationships portion of the living space in order to see how what we place or don’t place in that area may be affecting our hearts. Lastly, we’ll look at decorating our heart space in order to create the environment that will nurture and feed our souls.

I look forward to continuing to build this loving space with you all.

See you tomorrow,

-Kamilah Rose

28 Days of Love: Connecting to the Sacral and Root Energy Centers

aa6a494bdfced5c276653379de2037d1.jpg (736×828)

Hi Lovies,

Today we’ll share an exercise to connect to your sacral and root energy centers. Let’s get started!

Find a comfortable spot where you will be able to relax. This could be a chair, on a pillow on the floor, or your favorite place outside. Anywhere where you can relax, focus and not be interrupted is preferred. Settle into your space. Close your eyes. Focus your attention on your breath. Feel as the oxygen flows into your lungs, filling them with life. Envision all of your worries, all of the drama, all of your responsibilities of the day filling those bits of air. As you completely fill yourself with this deep breath hold it for 5-8 seconds. Really putting your attention towards instilling each other air particle with the stress that you intend to release. When you exhale envision all of those worries releasing to the universe where they are transmuted into refreshing air for the natural world.

Continue these breaths 5-10 times or for however long it takes until you feel completely at ease. Once you have entered that space, center your attention on each chakra starting with your root chakra. Feel it pulse, pull, and draw round your etheric being. There will be a moment when you will feel that connection. It is different for everyone. If you don’t feel anything such as a wave of energy flowing in that area. Repeat this for your sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye, and crown chakras. As you move upwards through each chakra pull that energy along as you go. Some areas may feel sluggish, although this isn’t an exercise to clear one’s energy you may want to spend some time doing so. You may feel a slight buzzing around your head from this exercise. Continue to move that energy upwards past the crown for our energy fields extend much further than that. In fact continue to let you energy expand as far out as you desire.

Now bring your attention back to your sacral energy center by picturing your energy flowing down thru your solar plexus down into the center of your pelvis to your sacral energy center. Having felt the flow of energy that exists between your higher-self and source, let that connection flow down to your sacral energy center.  This brings the wisdom those spaces hold from your subconscious to your conscious awareness. Source who is outside of our limited scope of space, time, and physical forms is all knowing. You will want to envision a steady flow of energy between your sacral chakra and your higher-self. This energy flow may be orange, red, yellow or any other color. Does it have a temperature associated with it? Is it warm, cool, or just a color? If you have a question or concern once that flow of energy is consistent feel free to ask your question. Note if there are any changes in the color or how you feel during this time. Does the answer come to you easily? Pay attention to how you feel but if you find yourself becoming too distracted and your mind is wandering then focus back on your breathing and trust that your message will come to you when you are ready. The sacral chakra is one of the areas in which we hold on to trauma so if you find yourself having a very difficult time connecting to this area don’t push it. Come at this exercise gently. Eventually you will find yourself able to explore the truths of this area. What wisdom does your sacral energy center have to share with you? Is it calling for a clearing? If so you can use cleanses through smoke, sound, water, or earth to pull any negative energy from this area. You may also want to seek professional services through therapy or a medical doctor.

We will now use the same meditation to connect to our root chakra. The root chakra may have a more active feeling to it or a very Earthy feeling. The root chakra is the last of our main chakra’s before our energy connects to the Earth. Thus it’s characteristics of grounding is a logical relationship between the root and the Earth. The color associated with the root chakra is red but you may find you feel/see green, brown, gold, black, or any other color. You also may feel a cool, damp, or warm sensation. It really depends on where you are and what your current life experience is. Focusing your attention here may deliver to you messages on your home, your family, your finances, or life purpose. Be open to what these messages may suggest about your current state of energy in relation to these subjects. Breathe into them. Let the knowledge seep into your being. Rest in that connection. Do this exercise for as long as it feels comfortable. Once you feel complete you can picture your energy traveling down into the earth and up into source as a mutual connection builds between your being and the entirety of creation. Take 5 deep breaths and slowly let your consciousness return to this plane. You can always return to this exercise whenever you are desiring connection or guidance.

28 Days of Love: Wisdom of the Serpent

maxresdefault.jpg (1920×1080)

Hi Lovies,

Today we’re going to take one final look at the physical by speaking about Kundalini energy. Kundalini is one path of Indian practice of yoga where one uses particular movements, sounds, and postures to activate the life energy. That life energy which is located in the base of the spine is known as Kundalini (Shakti). Within all of us lies the energy of creation. This energy flows according to the lies of the universe with both masculine/feminine and giving/receiving. Again, do not let your preconceived notions of masculine/feminine limit your perceptions of the possibilities related to these terms. Masculine energy is not inherently tied to the male body or form just as feminine energy is not automatically held within the female body or form. We hold both energies within us. It is about balance.

Also known as the serpent due to the way that the energy is thought to wind up the spinal column through the main chakras, Kundalini awakening has been associated with longevity, wisdom, spiritual enlightenment, and energetic balancing. An energy of movement and growth, there are several ways in which one may activate the kundalini. These ways include breath work, meditation, and movement. The energy that rises up through the chakra’s integrate not only the chakras but all of the energetic bodies as well allowing for information that may not have been able to be understood before to be accessible. Again, why this awakening is related to the serpent as serpents and snakes are known to symbolize wisdom and sacred knowledge. Eels are also related with the kundalini and masculine energy.

Regardless of your gender or sex, kundalini can be activated. There are those who do not find this activation to be pleasant. It can be shocking to feel all of your energies brought together and to have access to so much more sensory input. Many find themselves feeling physically sick from the amount of energy being transmuted. It is with caution that I bring the topic pf energy activation to this blog, but as it can be so closely tied to the physical it only made sense to discuss kundalini energy. I will not share how to to activate this energy but I will say that this can be done spontaneously through a steady practice, one’s energetic path, or during intense sexual experiences. The building up of energy during an orgasm operates in the same way as building up energy for awakening, manifestation and growth. Although we may equate an orgasm with ejaculation and physical movement that is not always the case. Through the use of meditation and breath work one can move their energy in the same way as a sexual orgasm. Getting in touch with your energy of creation is a powerful tool that can assist you with aligning not only with your own higher being but with your ability to manifest all of your desires.

I hope that if you found this very lite introduction to kundalini to be interesting. If so please seek to learn more about this energy on your own in safe practices from reputable sources.

Freedom to Dream – Plans to be Made: Virgo Full Moon

Sun, Venus, and Neptune in Pisces

After the fun of that lovely Aquarius energy, how about a little down time with Pisces. I’ve been working with the energy of Pisces over the past year to get a better understanding of how it functions in my life. I encourage everyone who is interested in astrology or any type of system to build your own relationship with it. Everyone is unique and thus will have a unique experience.

The deep waters of the soul connect us with the endless flow of the infinite which goes by many names. Pisces is the conduit sign. They thrive through their connection to Source. At this time, we will thrive through our personal spiritual connections. It fuels our being, our hearts and our souls. If you’re going to get anything done during this time, you better do it with heart. Otherwise, we risk getting lost in the fantasy of Neptune in Pisces which can leave us in a nebulous of “woulda, shoulda, coulda” energy. We talk, dream, and rant about what we could be doing…without actually doing anything. Perfection for most is abstract and we’ll get into how to address this energy next.

Moon in Virgo

What better way to show we care, then by taking care of all the little details that others may have missed because we have been thoroughly overwhelmed with the energy of Pisces. This Virgo full moon in having a bit of a time though attempting to create a foundation for Pisces to rest upon. Think of the earth within the universe. It is only a piece of the larger system. In this sense, Virgo is the energy of abundance, harvest, fecundity, and structure. A time of providing care through preparation. It continues the work of Taurus which grounds the creative energy of Aries in nourishing soil to support it’s physical manifestation. Here, Virgo has brought forth what was planted, in an act of great service and in support of our overall wellbeing. It prepares the way for perfection by counting and calculating EVERYTHING. Thus, if there’s a dream that comes to light in this Piscean time, Virgo will be able to take that and figure out how to make it REAL.

My Earth sign folks, specifically Virgos will be feeling a bit pressed this new moon. They can see how to get it done, but they just can’t get there. It’s ok. This is not the time for that active forward action. Don’t worry Aries season is coming and that will be the perfect time to put that plan into motion.

Mercury, Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius

The shift is still occurring. Change is the only constant. Mercury, Jupiter and Saturn are in Aquarius still working together to provide a net of innovation in our lives. It’s everywhere. In our words, bodies, and society. Everyone feels the pull towards adjusting ourselves to be more expressive, generous, and precise. Listen to any messages that you receive from your body. Listen very closely to what sparks your imagination. Learning, exploring, and movement will be greatly beneficial for us all during this time.

This is also a great time to reinvent how you see yourself. You may have realized that you’ve held back on truly allowing yourself to be free. You have likes, wants, dreams, and aspirations that you’ve set aside to focus on what is expected of you. Now, it’s time to do something for you. Saturn in Aquarius is going to highlight the portions of your personality that need to be let loose. It will also show you where you’ve been held captive. Time to break some chains! If you need a little inspiration, glance across the way to Leo. As the opposing sign to Aquarius, Leo gives us the courage to act on the changes that we desire. To take the lead and break from the norm.

Mars and Uranus in Taurus

This Taurus energy is giving us something to work with. Whether that’s in our favor or not depends on our willingness to fight for our personal peace and make the changes necessary to maintain it. Sustainability is the name of the game with Uranus in Taurus. Take a look at your creative pursuits that bring you great joy and dive into them.

Mars square Venus in Pisces

The passion to fight for what we value, to fight for our peace, and to fight for our worth. The passion to attract our deepest soul desires, connections, and love. Firey Earth and water, passion and desire dance around each other. One seeking a firm grounded state of peace. The other a deep ethereal connection. Can we have heaven on Earth? If we are willing to commit to that cause, yes.

It’s interesting, I was reading through an astrology text, that spoke about how Roman/Greek Mars was very different then Indo-European Mars energy. Originally Mars energy was aligned less with military, might, and force and more with the will to live and grow. Think more Green Man and less Sparta. Yet, when the shift from a feminine or dual creator to a singular masculine creator occurred, Mars energy shifted to the more aggressive archetypes that we may be familiar with. I always believe there is space for both.

From that framework then, our will- our instincts to advance and survive in the world are focused on what we have to do to support sustainable creative containers. Healthy sexual relationships that allow us to take a deep breath. A space where we can create through inventing, cooking, dancing, relating, reading, discussions. Like the earth, this is the soil through which our lives are nurtured and rooted. Our will is then coaxed, charmed, enchanted by the desire to connect with our soul and step beyond what can be known through the senses to the unknown. We are the Fool, taking a leap of faith. Will you jump?

Uranus square Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius but sextile Venus in Pisces

When the earth changes, we all feel it. We know it. It can be observed through our senses and often measured. When our society changes, this can be subtle and not as easy to grasp. It’s like trying to capture air. Social, mental, philosophical lens shift and flow particularly quickly now with our technology. This makes that Uranus in Taurus anxious. On one hand Uranus and Aquarius are ready to go! They want to see things shift. Yet, Taurus wants a clearly explained, well planned gradual change as opposed to how quickly things will move with Aquarius. Jupiter and Saturn combined in Aquarius aren’t really helping Uranus in Taurus out. Jupiter expands and Saturn reviews. These shifts are wide and deep. They indicate that we are moving forward in a way that will create a completely different world then what we are used to. Adjustment is needed and Uranus in Taurus will have to shift some of it’s deepest foundations, it’s values, to keep up.

We have a bit of help here from Venus in Pisces. Venus makes everything a bit more paletable. Venus steps in and asks, “but isn’t this nice? Come over here and try this new recipe that just went viral”. Venus in Pisces makes everything have the gossamer glow to it which makes things feel less threatening than the cool natured Aquarius.

Earth signs are having a moment this new moon. It’s a really different energy then when Capricorn and the Earth signs were calling the shots. Give yourself that time to adjust. I know it’s hard, but take that vacation and relax a bit. You will only stress yourself out more trying to anticipate what is to come and being frustrated when it’s not what you expected. We try to predict the weather all the time. Sometimes we get it and sometimes we don’t. Watch Aquarians. It’s their time to shine and by observing them, we can all learn a bit of how to flourish in this time.

Pluto in Capricorn

Well, well Pluto is still hanging out in Capricorn. The last planet from our last few years in Earth dominated energy. I relate Pluto to the soul similar to the views of Jeff Greene and Steven Forrest. Our souls are going through quite a bit of healing right now to put us into alignment with our great work. I’ve spoken of this often. Wounds related to leadership, abuse by people in power or our roles that we have played in harming others are being agitated to release us from the idea that others are able to define our actions based upon their idea of morality. We have to take responsibility for our actions and our beliefs. No longer can we say that what we do is justified based upon the duty or responsibility that others say that we have towards a higher power whether that is God, our country, or our family. We must build our own relationships with power in order to develop discernment. This will allow us to tell the difference between what is our higher calling versus what some other person is projecting onto us.

28 Days of Love: The Sacral Energy Center

Photo by Fabiano Rodrigues on Pexels.com

Hi Lovies,

I hope you all are having a wonderful day! Today we will be exploring the second energy center of the human form connected to the physical body and movement; the sacral chakra. The sacral energy center houses the energy of creativity, passion, sexuality, and happiness.

Our sexuality is just as tied with our thoughts as with our body. The largest sensory organ of the human form is the skin. We are aroused not just from touch, but from all of our senses including our extrasensory ones such as clairvoyance. Through these avenues we take in information and energy from the world around us.

The sacral energy center is one area through we can transmute energy to create and manifest our desires. It is the void where in new life can come forth.

Let us not limit ourselves to a simplistic understanding of new life as the actual birth of a child.

Let us look at life through an energetic lens. In that case all that exists or could exists lives.

Thus we birth ideas, books, hopes, dreams, homes, businesses, societies, relationships, anything and more than we could ever dream of. This is why it is so important to nurture and balance our sacral energy center.

For when our sacral center is out of balance we continue to manifest yet instead of the things we would like to come forth we find ourselves in situations and experiences we would rather avoid. It is in accordance to the 12 Universal Laws which do not see good and bad only the energy that we send out.

daa42dc2a549f6ce6fd9e8455948c852.jpg (236×254)

Activating the sacral energy center will not only increase your ability to manifest (hopefully things you desire), but regulates our creativity energy in general. When that energy is clear and flowing we feel inspired, creative, renewed as if we can do anything. When the energy becomes stagnant you may feel yourself becoming stagnant as well.

When you find yourself feeling this way it may be in relation to the amount of stress  you are experiencing. Stress is defined as any emotional or mental tension from adverse circumstances that one may not generally encounter. As you can tell from the general definition anything can be stressful depending on one’s perspective. This is why the practice of caring about how you feel is so important. A sure fire way to connect to your feelings and learn to be guided by your intuition is to connect to your sacral energy center.

I hope you’ll stop by tomorrow as we look at one last portion of our energy and the physical through kundalini.

With love,

Kamilah Rose

28 Days of Love- The Root Energy Center

Photo by Karolina Grabowska on Pexels.com

Hi lovies,

We have been getting into the nitty gritty here at The Bliss Institute examining the many ways that we can show ourselves and each other love through our physical forms. Now we are going to take a look at the energy centers related to our physical being starting with the root.

The root chakra or energy center is our grounding foundation of our being. It is the first energy center located at the base of our forms at the base of our spine. Others have noted the root chakra’s location at the perineum. Neither of these may not be the space where you feel energy moving though so it will be useful to get to know your own energetic form. Thought of as the start of a vortex of spiraling energy, the root energy center is connected with the coccyx or the tailbone. Often associated with the color red, the root chakra is our connection to the earth that nourishes and feeds us. Just as the earth represents our physical home, the root chakra is activated by any type of physical activity that we participate in. Anything that gets our body moving get our root energy center going as well.

Our root chakra houses our basis of stability, security, safety, and survival. If we were to liken this to Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs this would be a combination of the physiological and safety levels. We find that our primitive instincts towards ensuring our survival are activated with this chakra. Thus housing or shelter, food and protection are the main concern here. When these areas are not in balance or flowing in harmony with our overall energy then we feel that our lives are at risk. This can mean physically, energetically, emotionally, or mentally there is an attack we are perceiving externally or internally. This activates reactions to these threats through a variety of emotional and physical states. Anger, judgment, inactivity, over activity, and experiencing a lack of connection to the world around us are all associated with a root chakra that is either over or under active.

When our root energy center is balanced we feel as if our environment is safe and secure. We view the universe as a place of abundance where we are always taken care of. I’m sure these are some appealing characteristics, but one of the best ways to determine the state of one’s root is your manifestation of your dreams and desires. On a base level we are always manifesting according to what energy we put out there. If you find that it’s very easy for you to manifest your desires then more than likely your root chakra is well balanced and in tune with your overall energy. As your foundation and direct connection to the Earth as the material realm there can be a correlation between the state of your root chakra and your material manifestations.

This is never the whole story so don’t discount the overall energy of the world around you but the way you feel about your ability to affect your physical self/world.

Your drive for creating micro and macro change is within the root energy center. As you can tell this is a major energy point. The root doesn’t act alone and tomorrow we will cover another energy center that is closely tied to our physical being/form: the sacral chakra.

With love,

Kamilah Rose
