Clear it Out: A Smoothie for Releasing

Make-Green-Smoothies-for-the-Whole-Family.jpg (600×746)Greetings beloveds,

I hope you all are having a beautiful new year. With the setting of goals, intentions, and resolutions many are looking to change, renew, or improve their health through their eating habits and lifestyle. For me, this past year has been a struggle for me to maintain a consistent diet (eating habits) and movement schedule. I would get into a good flow and then get scooped out of it through travel, work obligations, spiritual quests, and emotional personal events. The blessing that came from this was a bit of freedom as I had to let go of my strict routine and begin to let the experiences that wanted to be in my life come through. Now you may be thinking, food doesn’t have that much power or that much purpose. I beg to differ. If truly, all is made of energy and that energy has its own drive and direction then the atoms that make up food also has these qualities. We align or do not align with that flow. So as we work to release resistance and fear (how many times have we demonized different types of foods from fats, salt, and even meat) throughout our lives here’s a quick recipe for a soup that will get you going *wink wink* in more ways than one.

Rose’s Clear You Out Smoothie

1 Tablespoon of Chia Seeds

2-3 Stalks of Fennel

Handful of Dandelion Root

4-5 Leaves of Kale

2 Stalks Celery

1 Lemon

2 Apples (Honey Crisp are delicious)

Here’s to getting things moving in the New Year!

28 Days of Love: Basking in the Glow of Love

Screen-shot-2012-07-23-at-12.57.02-PM.png (558×310)

Greetings beloveds,

Can you believe it? 28 Days of Love is coming to a close today. Over the past 4 weeks we have connected with our heart, mind, body, and home/living spaces to find clarity and bring ourselves into alignment with the energy of love.

How do you feel? Take a moment to integrate the information and lessons that you have learned over the past month into your life completely. It may take some time to feel and know what changes you have made or may still need to make. Behavior and thought process changes enhance our states of being. Above all else I hope that this time has brought about compassion for yourself and others. Love is so much more than warm fuzzy feelings. It is the basis of our existence. Through love we find ourselves. Through love we find our purpose.

So I send you forth with love, always and forever.

brain-food.jpg (358×298)

Greetings beloveds,

Oh you thought that we forgot about the food right? Here we are again at my favorite part of the week. Let’s return to our discussion on the brain, health, and spirituality.

There are many foods that contribute to the health of our brain. We want to make sure that we are getting those healthy fats to make sure that the myelin sheeth stays pliable, strong and functioning well so those neural messages are able to be sent from . Then you want all the leafy greens an vegetables because they have all the vitamins, nutrients, and minerals. Lastly, of course we should be drinking lots of water to keep ourselves hydrated.

So here’s a list of food to keep your brain happy!

Avocados

Walnuts

Salmon

Broccoli

Beets

Blueberries

Celery

Leafy Greens

Dark Chocolate

Rosemary

Tumeric

28 Days of Love 2019

Greetings loves,

I hope that you are taking time to care for yourself after the chaos of 2018. Change is coming and quickly. Over the next month as many focus on chocolates and bears, we here at The Bliss Institute dedicate each February to 28 Days of shamelessly loving ourselves and each other. Each week we focus on bringing a specific aspect of our being into alignment with source and love. The first week we focus on our heart energy via the heart chakra. During the second week, we examine the relationship between our thoughts and our hearts. The third week, we move to engage the body in heart felt connection. Lastly, we will explore ways to transform our living and other spaces that we occupy into nurturing areas of support and love.

They say it takes 21 days to form a habit. This month we are looking to encourage and fill our love meters in a time when making it through each day may be all that we can do. You deserve to take a moment to nurture yourself. Focus on what you can give yourself even if it’s just a moment to breathe and hopefully a bit of time to complete some of these exercises. Here’s to 28 Days of Love.

The Body as Water: Hydration through Food

Water and the Body

Water is vital for our physical health. Our bodies need water to survive. I could go over all the ways that water is necessary for our bodies to function at their best but I’m going to let you find that information on your own. It’s important for us to recognize that we must take an active role in our lives. That act for you today can be to research what, how, and why our bodies utilize water the way that it does. Drinking water is not the only way to keep ourselves hydrated. There are several water dense foods we can eat to ensure that we are giving our bodies exactly what it needs to so we can optimize our health.

Here are some of my favorites.

  • Watermelon
  • Strawberries
  • Cantaloupe
  • Pineapple
  • Oranges
  • Grapefruit
  • Raspberries
  • Starfruit
  • Baby Carrots
  • Tomatoes
  • Radish
  • Cauliflower
  • Broccoli
  • Cucumbers
  • Iceberg Lettuce
  • Celery
  • Green Peppers
  • Spinach

New Moon in Pisces: The Dream of the Ram and the Goat

March Planetary Placements.png

Let’s talk about the energy of this time with a run-down of the current astrological placements.

March 6 Venus and Mercury in Aries

March 8 Jupiter Retrograde

March 14 Jupiter semi-square Saturn

March 17 New moon in Pisces; Mars enter Capricorn

March 30 Sun enters Aries

March 22 Mercury Retrograde in Aries

What does all this mean? That we are ramping up the energy. It is gearing up towards go time. There was no full moon in February making this our time for closing out what we started last year. Reflect on what occurred for you in 2017 during the Pisces full moon. What were you experiencing? Pisces represents the completion of the astrological year with the journey of the hero/heroine moving from birth (Aries) to death (Scorpio) to rebirth (Aries).

I’m just going to say it, the energy of this new moon in Pisces is going be intense. We have Venus, Mercury, and the Sun in Aries. We are being straightforward, adventurous, and headstrong in approaching our desires, communication, and sense of self. We are feeling powerful and wanting to give life to the seeds that we have planted in our subconscious of who we are, who we want to be, and how to get there. Jupiter, which is in the sign of Scorpio, goes retrograde and on March 14 forms a semi-square to Saturn in Capricorn. Jupiter in retrograde calls for us to look carefully before we leap. There is so much we want to explore and experience. Moving forward without the proper foundation lessons our ability to anticipate what the outcome of our work may be. You can make that leap and you might fly, fall, find that the ground rises up to support your next steps or travel to a new reality altogether. Jupiter in retrograde suggests blocks to our expansion, luck, and freedom. This energy will be intensified by Jupiter’s aspect to Saturn. The planet of expansion meets the planet of restriction causing a friction of epic challenges.

The planet of expansion meets the planet of restriction causing a friction of challenges through which you will earn the.png

Jupiter in Scorpio wants us to go deeper into our subconscious. Scour the depths of our soul to find all the pieces that we have lost trying to fit into the ideals of the world around us. With Jupiter in Scorpio we want to know more, be more, do more. No more secrets. Saturn, on the other hand wants boundaries. The dark unknown is makes Saturn uneasy because there is no way to predict or control what happens there. The underworld, our subconscious is unrestrained by the limitations of our minds ability to categorize the world around us. Capricorn sees the world around us as is. Creativity is limited by the that which already exists. Because Capricorn has survived the hardships of the world, it accepts that there is necessary suffering. That we build our strength through hard work and perseverance. Jupiter semi-square Saturn is the growing plant breaking free from it’s seeds shell. Eventually the pressure to expand becomes too much. Do you break free, give up, rationalize that you were meant to stay small, find a crack and release what you can?

Pisces New Moon.png

The new moon in Pisces shines the spotlight on our fears and anxiety about our ability to be our true self in a world that wants us to conform. Dedicate yourself to your passions, dreams, and truth. For me that is accepting that I do not view the world like everyone else. That I interpret information and energy differently. I am weird. I am strange. I do not need to change anything about who I am to please others. Those are my truths in the depths of my Piscean dream world. The ram is about to meet the goat. Find your similarities but do not let the goat push you around. Accept the goats challenge to examine the strength of your plans. Once you are sure of yourself, break free and use the energy of the upcoming new moon in Aries to hold your ground.

With love
