Rest: New Moon in Taurus

Hello lovies!

I’ve fallen fully into the energy of the New Moon in Taurus by answering the call to rest and appreciate the world around me. This might have felt like a call to spend time with friends, family, and loved ones including some “me” time. Here’s a quick breakdown of where the planets are for the new moon. I found as I tried to sit down and write out all the elements of this phase, that I just wanted to rest. To read, have a warm drink, eat comfort food, be outside and sleep. All in all this seemed to sum up Taurus energy in a healthy space taking into account my own energetic needs and cycles. To take ownership of who I am and what I have been blessed with.

What a delightful message from Taurus, that beauty is not all about the physical but holistic in nature. We are beautiful when we let our true selves shine.

I’ve been reading up on all of the astrology things. I love to explore my own chart but I realized I was avoiding signs that were not prominent in my chart, such as all of the Earth signs. Reading up on their magic and what they bring to the zodiac has been so refreshing. Another element of this new moon is to explore areas of interest that you may have avoided. You might find that embracing a slower pace of appreciation allows you to dig deeper into your talents and interests. Tackle some of the mysteries and fears from this brave space of Taurean peace and security.

April Writing Prompt

Good morning lovies,

April brings us fully into the Aries/I AM energy. As the first Western zodiac sign, the beginning of a new season, and the representation of the Magician card we look at our WILL. What we are able to create through our desires, strength, and refusal to give up because we believe so deeply that we can MANIFEST from our own sovereign power.

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Leo: Back to the Light

Greetings beloveds,

A full moon ruled by the element of fire with the Moon and North Node in Leo, Venus and Jupiter in Sagittarius, and then Mars and Uranus in Aries. With an even distribution between the fire signs we have each stage of creation – a spark of life, the strong flames of midlife, and the quiet warmth of dying embers. The moon in Leo in the 10th house shines light on the will and courage needed to face our purpose.

Take note from the different forms of the fire signs. Where do you fall in the fire spectrum of creation? Are you at the beginning stages, identifying and starting to move forward in your career? Perhaps you have started your career or are in your prime. Lastly, you may be a well-versed expert in your field with a solid background and vision of who you are. This isn’t a linear process. We often grow , change, and expand our understanding of our purpose and how that can or will affect our career.

Above all else, allow yourself to shine in your chosen role whatever that may be. The world would not be the same without you. Let your career or source of income be like the moon and reflect your inner light to others.

These might be hard words to hear but sometimes we feel that we have a calling but it’s difficult to manifest. We take the classes, get the job, find the mentor, write the book, create the program but it doesn’t go anywhere. We find ourselves suffering from imposter syndrome. We worry that we are not on the right path or encounter a lot of resistance along the way. We may feel so attached to what we THINK or FEEL we are supposed to be doing or who we are yet, we are unable to make progress in that area.

Take that step back. Look at how you approach these topics. Are you so attached to this career, purpose, or identity that it is difficult to keep perspective and make necessary changes to move forward. The power of Leo lies in their natural appeal to others. Find those who are in your field or have similar interests which can bolster and support you on this path. Then ground yourself through the foundation you have been working on since this the Cancer new moon last month.

Your home is a sacred space. Cleanse it, fill it with things that bring you peace, and then retreat there to rest and refuel. You’ve got this.

New Moon in Gemini: Dare to Be Great

New Moon in Gemini

It’s Gemini Season! We are feeling the pull to get out and share what matters most to us (to those who deserve it). We have recently come through some difficult times of release, rejuvenation, and rebirth. The birth process is not always easy and yet there is idea that everything is sunshine and roses during the spring. More so we are going through birth, new born, teething, and terrible twos in a short period of time. When we are most focused on what others want from us than on what we need for ourselves we come up with a deficit. Now that we have accessed what truly holds value for us during our time in Taurus it’s time to start letting people know what our standards are through using our voice.

Through embracing how we truly feel about ourselves, our hopes, and our dreams we can begin to express that with others. This can be done by connecting our heart desires to our throat chakra. If you have not worked on grounding and defining your sense of stability through your root, sacral, and solar plexus chakra’s you might find this to be a bit disconcerting. No worries. Do the work now. Gemini’s may not be the best at finishing projects but they definitely enjoy the process.  Get into the process of healing as this will assist you in releasing old patterns and codes that do not serve you. Although we are in the time of rebirth, we may just be bringing back old ways that should have died but we would not let go. Release!! My video on ancestral healing and release can help you with this process.

This this work you’ll find yourself experiencing victories in your personal life, home, work, and spiritual practice. You may also find that in the same ways that the veil is thinner during Samhain or Halloween that your divination abilities are heightened at this time. Cultivate your talents through paying active attention to what you excel at. If you have a difficult time knowing what your gifts are, ask those who you trust what skills they have seen you exhibit. Gemini’s are great mirrors for communication and allow for us to share clearly what we see in ourselves and each other. Also, watch for signs and symbols of significance. This could be through numerology, astrology, animal symbols, or your personal signs. For me, I know I need to ground because I’ll scratch a wall with my car. It never fails, when I’m all up in my head and unbalanced Spirit wakes me up with a jolt. Identify your personal signs as you nurture your relationship with Spirit and self.

Happy New Moon!

Full Moon in Libra: The Beauty of Reflection and Truth

explore thedeepestwaters

Greetings beloveds,

It’s the full moon in Libra and as a Libra I am always hyped for this time of the year. Aries season calls us to action and Libra manages to sneak in to keep us balanced. This full moon correlates with the general energy of spring focusing on how we think about our world and our role in it. This full moon in Libra is straight forward, Aries in relation to Libra, brings the attention to self and our role in our relationships. Take note of your relationships with others and yourself.

Full Moon in Libra Exercise

  • Are your relationships balanced?
  • Do you find yourself putting more into your relationships then you receive?
  • Do you find yourself receiving more than you put into your relationships?
  • Describe your ideal:
    • romantic partnership
    • platonic partnership
    • business partnerships
    • spiritual relationship
    • relationship with your heart, soul, body, and mind
  • Describe your current:
    • romantic partnership
    • platonic partnership
    • business partnerships
    • spiritual relationship
    • relationship with your heart, soul, body, and mind

Now compare the two lists. What does and does not match up? Finally, what can you do to bring yourself into alignment with your ideal?

The Libra full moon requires us to honor our part in our relationship patterns. Change must start with us. One of the easiest ways to do this is through clearing your energy centers or chakras. Moving through each chakra, clear any energy that is not in serving your highest purpose. Then reset the energy by filling that chakra with either white light or the light that you associate with that center. Clear not only your internal energy fields but external as well. Wash your hair, exfoliate your skin, visit a sauna and sweat it out. Wash over your aura with light, love and peace.

Allow Mars to give Venus the courage to face the hard truths of the world around her

Once you have cleared your energy, examined your relationship patterns, and discovered how to bring yourself into alignment with the partnerships of your desires, then it is time to put your plan into action. Speak your truth by sharing what you have done and what you plan to do to bring your partnerships into alignment. Start first with the self unless there is a pressing relationship that must be acted upon. Any forms of abuse should be addressed immediately in as safe a manner as possible. Aries can be brash, and we do not want to place ourselves in danger. Above all else, Libra loves harmony, but that can breed complacency and avoidance. Allow Mars to give Venus the courage to face the hard truths of the world around her. With charm and grace, Venus can transform any situation and so can you.

The Energy of Winter

Greetings beloveds,

Here’s a revised version of the energy of Winter. Enjoy!

Winter – A time of rest where we set our intentions, hopes, and goals for the upcoming time of movement during the spring. A time for personal development, to heal, do shadow work, and get in touch with your emotions through physical movement and the body. Winter gives us a chance to create plans, gather information, and design an action plan.

According to the Chinese five elements system, winter is associated with the element of water. Water is a conduit of energy associated with adaptability and fluidity due to its ability to shift it’s form depending on the environment in which it finds itself. Water is an abundant element within our world. In fact, our physical bodies and the Earth are composed mostly of water. How well do you understand yourself in relationship to the water of this world as well as your body? Winter provides the perfect opportunity for you meditate on these questions and study the element of water.

Spending time in nature also provides many lessons about the process of creating life. During the winter, the Earth in that hemisphere is in hibernation.  It appears to be inactive and still. The stillness draws us in, encouraging us to want to better understand ourselves as well as the world around us. Although it seems that the world is still during this time, it is actively growing within its womb the manifestations of life to come forth in the spring. Do you remember how a seed grows? The warm earth combined with the moisture of the soil interacts with the needs of the seed to slowly pull the life from within it’s shell. The Earth nurtures that life until the world above it has shifted to provide an environment through which the plant can thrive. Over the years we have shifted our attention and respect away from the Earth and its feminine energy to the Sun as the masculine. We shy away from the Earth’s time, just as we shy away from the power of the Divine Feminine’s shadow side. Learning to love the Earth, particularly during the colder months, is one way to access the feminine and to understand how she functions, loves, manifests, and creates change.

New Years-Winter Solstice

Those who follow a Wiccan or Celtic path may honor the new year during Samhain as that is when the veils between the worlds are thinnest. As a Priestess of the Dark Goddess though, winter solstice is the perfect time to commune with the Divine while you are within the underworld. This is also a great time to design your intentions, goals, and plans for the next year. As the longest night of the year, the extended period of darkness corresponds with the depths of our subconscious. Our subconscious holds our deepest desires and unconscious drives. Through exploration of these aspects of ourselves we can determine the path through which we can heal and grow to achieve our dreams.

Here’s an example of how I prepare for the upcoming year using ritual and tarot/oracle cards. During my Winter Solstice ritual I enjoy using a tarot deck in a Celtic cross spread to understand the main focus of the upcoming year. Then I use an oracle deck for a seasonal spread to get an idea of what my main focus for each season will be. I pull 5 cards, the first card representing the general energy of the next year, then a card for each season. For example, in 2017 my general energy was Hekate and Illumination through a journey in the Underworld. Then as every season changes during the upcoming year I pull new cards. One new general energy reading and three more for each month in that season. This system allows for me to remain engaged in my spiritual practice throughout the year without getting overwhelmed with a large ritual every time the season changes.

How do you flow with the season during the winter? What are you rituals for Winter Solstice?

Connecting to the Divine Feminine: Winter

Greetings beloveds,

Today we will discuss seven easy ways to connect to the Divine Feminine during the Winter.

  1. Winter solstice is the perfect time to commune with the spirits while you are within their realm-the underworld. As the longest night of the year, this is the time when you are in the depths of the underworld are easiest to access.
  2. According to the Chinese five elements system winter is associated with the element of water. During the winter months it’s recommended that you study the element of water.
  3. Connect to the Earth- We’ll cover this more later in the season.
  4. Create nurturing rituals which draw on the element of earth, water, and warmth. This could include warming drinks, hot meals, snuggling under throws, lighting a fire, or taking a hot shower or bath.
  5. Dress in coats, wraps, and accessories in deep earth tones, cool blues, white, green, red or any color that reminds you of winter.
  6. Meditate on the energy of winter and personal development. What areas of your life are calling for your attention? Where do you need to nurture yourself?
  7. Set aside time each day to rest. During the winter, although externally the world may be resting, internally we are healing and growing. In the Winter, we are encouraged to go within and rest just as the feminine does through various myths of the underworld.

Let me know how you connect with the Divine Feminine during the Winter!
