Full Moon in Libra: The Polarity of Fire and Air

Greetings beloveds,

Happy full moon in Libra. First, some house keeping. I’m leaving out some of the astrological aspects this full moon because I want to dive deeper in the aspects of Pluto and Saturn in Capricorn and Venus and Neptune in Pisces. Check back soon for those posts. Now on to the full moon in Libra 2019!

We balanced out with that full moon in Libra in March and really started the spring season with the new moon in Aries. Now it’s time to bask in the polarity of fire and air. Fire as an element is an intense, active, burning energy. Fire, like any other element, can create or destroy pending on how it is channeled. It is useful to know how much fire you have in your chart by knowing which astrological signs, planets, and houses are active in your natal chart. Air, as an element is also active, light, and insightful. It creates of the many ways we bring spirit into the body, through breath. Fire thrives with air. Fire needs air to survive. Air finds partnership and collaboration through fire. Air with just earth is a wind passing through or picking something up unwillingly. Air and water come together but they mesh completely. Air and Fire are mutually beneficial.

As the first polarity of the western zodiac, Aries and Libra are the initial mirrors of astrology. Aries illustrates the I, the ego, the self while Libra represents we, the community, and the collective. Fire thrives with air. Fire needs air to survive. Air finds partnership and collaboration through fire. Air with just earth is a wind passing through or picking something up unwillingly. Air and water come together but they mesh completely. Air and Fire are mutually beneficial illustrating the lesson of Aires and Libra. True partnership and community benefits everyone involved. It is fair and just. When we think of ourselves as a part of the collective we understand that what effects one, effects the many.

Fire is alive and well this full moon with the sun in Aires in the first house bringing us firmly into the I AM energy of becoming. Becoming our true selves, highest selves, shadow self, and healed self. Become whatever you would like to be. As the first sign of the zodiac, Aires is the sign of opportunities. Couple that with Uranus in Taurus in the first house and you have the perfect storm of personal development. You have a talent. A skill that is particular to you. How does, can, and will that revolutionize your existence? Be open to taking that leap of faith. With Mars in Gemini, the time is now. The energy all around is creative, fun, innocent, and ready to GO. Are you ready?

Chiron and Mercury in Aries in 12th house

What wounds exist around you speaking your truth related to your identity and spirituality? Perhaps you spoke up about an injustice or found a new perspective towards spirituality that you have shared with others. This energy looks at your personal relationship with healing and communication through spirituality. It can be easy to lose ourselves in different identities. We become what we put our heart and soul into. This can become especially complicated when a path helps us to address wounds and heal. Yet, without boundaries I becomes we and the path that offered us so much clarity, now restricts our growth. Go within and determine where the I starts and how it relates to any groups that you associate with. Align your values with your personal moral compass and move forward from there.

Moon in Libra is 7th house: Beauty, partnership and balance defines this energy.

            Aspects to moon:

Quincunx Venus: Incorporate flexibility into your relationships. You will not always feel the same about someone and that is ok. Move into a deep relationship with yourself so you can recognize how you feel and can communicate that clearly. Once you trust yourself you will build stronger relationships with others.

Sextile Jupiter: gives a lively fun atmosphere to any issues or problems that we may encounter. This comes from our desire to have a light and easy life perspective at this time so that we can experience the beauty of the moment. x

Square Saturn and Pluto: High emotional intensity. This energy may cause you to create or recognize dependent relationships in your life. Human connection is necessary but in order to connect in a healthy way we have to have knowledge of our own needs, a connection to our intuition, and clear boundaries. When we are lacking these things we may find that we lean on other by not taking responsibility for our own needs or create circumstances where others “need” us. Take time to access and check your boundaries. Do you take on more then you can emotionally or mentally handle? Do you struggle with saying no to particular people and justify it because you are related to them or because they did something for you? Is it difficult for you to release relationships such as with family, close friends, or romantic partners? All of these may be highlighted during this energy.

Opposition to Uranus: Emotions are in flux with this energy. You are wanting to be free and yet be connected. The desire to experience something new and yet have a space to return to creates the tension for this aspect. Following the theme of defining and developing boundaries based on self-awareness, if you know how much alone time and partnership time you need this can be expressed in a way where if necessary negotiations can be made for circumstances that cannot be immediately changed such as children, partners, or work.

You got this loves!

28 Days of Love- The Root Energy Center

warrior-root-vibration.jpg (640×640)

Greetings beloveds,

We have been getting into the nitty gritty here at The Bliss Institute examining the many ways that we can show ourselves and each other love through our physical forms. Now we are going to take a look at the energy centers related to our physical being starting with the root.

The root chakra or energy center is our grounding foundation of our being. It is the first energy center located at the base of our forms at the base of our spine. Others have noted the root chakra’s location at the perineum. Neither of these may not be the space where you feel energy moving though so it will be useful to get to know your own energetic form. Thought of as the start of a vortex of spiraling energy, the root energy center is connected with the coccyx or the tailbone. Often associated with the color red, the root chakra is our connection to the earth that nourishes and feeds us. Just as the earth represents our physical home, the root chakra is activated by any type of physical activity that we participate in. Anything that gets our body moving get our root energy center going as well.

Our root chakra houses our basis of stability, security, safety, and survival. If we were to liken this to Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs this would be a combination of the physiological and safety levels. We find that our primitive instincts towards ensuring our survival are activated with this chakra. Thus housing or shelter, food and protection are the main concern here. When these areas are not in balance or flowing in harmony with our overall energy then we feel that our lives are at risk. This can mean physically, energetically, emotionally, or mentally there is an attack we are perceiving externally or internally. This activates reactions to these threats through a variety of emotional and physical states. Anger, judgment, inactivity, over activity, scarcity mentality and experiencing a lack of connection to the world around us are all associated with a root chakra that is either over or under active.

When our root energy center is balanced we feel as if our environment is safe and secure. We view the universe as a place of abundance where we are always taken care of. I’m sure these are some appealing characteristics but one of the best ways to determine the state of one’s root is your manifestation of your dreams and desires. On a base level we are always manifesting according to what energy we put out there. If you find that it’s very easy for you to manifest your desires then more than likely your root chakra is well balanced and in tune with your overall energy. As your foundation and direct connection to the Earth as the material realm there can be a correlation between the state of your root chakra and your material manifestations. This is never the whole story so don’t discount the overall energy of the world around you but the way you feel about your ability to affect your physical self/world. Your drive for creating micro and macro change is within the root energy center. As you can tell this is a major energy point. The root doesn’t act alone and tomorrow we will cover another energy center that is closely tied to our physical being/form: the sacral chakra.

28 Days of Love: Connecting with Your Higher Self Exercise

Day 4 Connecting with Your Higher Self Exercise

Find a comfortable spot where you will be able to relax. This could be a chair, on a pillow on the floor, or your favorite place outside. Anywhere where you can relax, focus and not be interrupted is preferred. Settle into your space. Close your eyes. Focus your attention on your breath. Feel as the oxygen flows into your lungs, filling them with life. Envision all of your worries, all of the drama, all of your responsibilities of the day filling those bits of air. As you completely fill yourself with this deep breath hold it for 5-8 seconds. Really putting your attention towards instilling each other air particle with the stress that you intend to release. When you exhale envision all of those worries releasing to the universe where they are transmuted into refreshing air for the natural world.

Continue these breaths 5-10 times or for however long it takes until you feel completely at ease. Once you have entered that space, center your attention on each chakra starting with your root chakra. Feel it pulse, pull, and draw round your etheric being. There will be a moment when you will feel that connection. It is different for everyone. If you don’t feel anything such as a wave of energy flowing in that area. Repeat this for your sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye, and crown chakras. As you move upwards through each chakra pull that energy along as you go. Some areas may feel sluggish, although this isn’t an exercise to clear one’s energy you may want to spend some time doing so. You may feel a slight buzzing around your head from this exercise. Continue to move that energy upwards past the crown for our energy fields extend much further than that. In fact continue to let you energy expand as far out as you desire (to infinity and beyond ;)!

At this time bring your attention back to your third eye and crown chakra.

With love,

28 Days of Love: Connecting With Your Higher Self

Day 3 Connecting With Your Higher Self

When looking for love we often search outside of ourselves. Buying things, eating rich comfort food, in the company of friends, family, and romantic partners, in various forms of entertainment. Yet, no matter how fulfilling these connections may be, they are nothing in comparison to the connection to authentic self. Finding love from within for many is a lifelong journey.  Everyone experiences the lifelong task of being the embodiment of love that must be continuously and consistently nurtured. When we make this connection though, it provides us with a gateway to our “higher self”. You may have heard this term thrown around the new age, spiritual, conscious, enlightened and whatever else folks are calling themselves these days sphere. Realize that your higher self is nothing more than that innate portion of your being that gently (or for some of us not so gently) guides and supports us. That which is outside of time and space that exists in order to hold our energy in whatever form it may take.

Some folks are preoccupied with connecting with their higher self through meditation, clean eating, and “vibrating higher”. I have another secret to share with you. You are always connected with your higher self. You are always one – just in different forms. One form is not better or worse than the other we just are. In our entirety. We may not be as aware as we could be of the information available to us in this life form. That is the advantage of connecting with our higher self. Insight, wisdom and ultimately power to transmute energy. When we are connected to our soul being or our higher selves it is our direct line to unconditional divine love.

Tomorrow check out how to connect to your higher self.

28 Days of Love: Connecting With Your Heart Exercise

Day 2 Connecting with your heart exercise

Are you feeling that heart energy? It’s a soft, gentle, tug that flows from the center of your chest to your crown. It swirls through your brow brushing out the clouds of lowness. Bringing a sense of euphoria and celebration. It moves gentle down through your root, legs, and feet to connect you to the Earth. Grounding you in everlasting abundance and stability.

Heart Connection Exercise

In fact continue to let you energy expand as far out as you desire (to infinity and beyond ;)! )

At this time bring your attention back to your heart chakra located at the center of your chest. Feel it pulsate with life and joy. If you feel sorrow, regret, pain, or worry focus on the center of your heart. Burrow down and envision a spark of light/energy/life at that center point. From there picture whatever makes you smile. Then transfer your smile to your heart center. Let your heart smile ad shine forth. Fill it with joy and let that emotion of well-being radiate outwards moving down through your lower chakras into the earth then upwards until it reaches the stars.

When your heart smiles you are connected. Let your joy be your guide.

28 Days of Love: Heart and Soul

Week 1: Heart and Soul

Connecting to your heart:

When is the last time you connected with your heart? We get so busy being productive yet our hearts are often last on the list. How often do you hear that though and think to yourself “what the hell does connecting to my heart even mean?”

Let me share a secret with you, you connect to your heart all the time. Whenever you laugh from your gut unapologetically, sing at the top of your lungs, dance passionately, read a great book, or do anything that brings you joy, you are connecting with your heart.

You heart holds the sacred energy of your being. In connection with your root, will, voice, spirit and most high self, the heart brings forth your internal light which makes the world seem as if it were covered with glitter. Your heart energy also leads you to journey through the darkness when that light has dimmed. Our hearts are our strength.

Look out for a wonderful way to connect to your heart tomorrow.

New Moon in Capricorn: The Value of Your Talents

Greetings beloveds!

This new moon is ruled by Earth energy. Not only is this moon in Capricorn but it is joined by Pluto, the Sun, and Saturn in the 6th house then Mercury in the 5th house. 6th house energy calls our attention to discernment, knowledge, talents, and learned skills. This placement of planets suggests that now is a wonderful time to access our current skills:

Your close friends or social circle may be able to help you identify these skills or have ideas on where you can build or use these skills.

Concentrate on ways to bring comfort to others and yourself. Things that provide safety, nurturing, and a space where folks feel that they can be their true selves.

If you find that you have a difficult time with this process this indicates shadow work surrounding root, sacral, solar plexus, and heart chakra characteristics. An exploration of how to integrate and acknowledge these truths can be obtained through reflection upon the reasons why you would not be interested in using your talents to assist others. Are there fears around this surrounding you not being worthy or good enough to help others? An idea that others are not deserving of this assistance? Or perhaps you have tried this before and was unsuccessful. A fear of humiliation, failure, judgement, and shame cloud your drive to follow your purpose. Through shadow work you can acknowledge the drive behind these barriers and find ways to use them to your benefit.

This reflection and shadow work are grounded in mindfulness, meditation, and ritual. Being willing to sit with your dreams, fears, and ask for divine assistance takes a level of trust and acceptance that Capricorn energy is uniquely built to support. Capricorn is represented by the goat-fish. A being that is grounded in earthly energy of hard work and perseverance while also being able to navigate the depths of our emotions and subconscious. This is the energy of devotion which comes from communion with Spirit and building a relationship of trust.

The Power of Gratitude: Foods for Giving Thanks

Untitled design

Greetings beloveds,

We are nearing the time of giving thanks and gathering with our loved ones. Gratitude can change your life. It shifts the way that we see what happens for us. Often we get into just go mode. We make a plan and we move towards it. Checking off boxes, deciding that what matters most is how much one get’s done, how much one makes, how much one does or does not spend. Setting the intention to focus on what we are grateful for will not make the things that are not turning out the way we desired go away. Nor does it mean that we ignore all of the crappy injustices that are happening in our lives. Taking time for gratitude is about acknowledging what is going right despite what is going wrong.

I look forward to seeing you there!

The Depths of the Underworld: Scorpio Shadow Work with The Morrigan

New Moon In Scorpio.pngGreetings beloveds,

Welcome to the season of honoring those who have been and the things that we must release in order to move on. This is a great time to work with the energy of The Morrigan. You might be familiar with Morgan Le Fey as associated with King Author and The Mists of Avalon. You may have heard about her as the half-sister of Author who had a child with him. You may also know her as the Goddess of war, death, and sex. The Morrigan is a Celtic Goddess of multiple forms such as Badb, Macha, and Anu. She is a powerful Goddess that can assist in your healing, connection to abundance, personal sense of power, magic, and other topics depending on your relationship with her.

The Morrigan calls us to recognize that fulfilling our purpose requires for us to follow our path regardless of what others might think of us. That the stories that they tell about us cannot deter us from what we know is our truth.

There’s a lot of talk of shadow work. Some of it is grounded in Jungian psychology. Some of it is just what others have channeled into their personal and professional work. I’ve been thinking about the core of what that means in relationship to Scorpio and the Morrigan. The image that kept coming to mind was the mists or fog and the moon. All of these are conditions associated with night time or with low light. Yet, this isn’t Silent Hill. The world doesn’t magically change when the sun goes down or a siren goes off. The world of the night is structurally the same during the day. It is our perception and inability to see as well during these times that causes us to distort what is present.

The Morrigan invites us to bring what is apparent during the day into the night. To use the elements of the night to our advantage. This is shadow work. Using the characteristics of our shadow or unconscious to our advantage. Yes, you may be a serial monogamous but you always stay true to yourself eventually. Or perhaps you have a significant other who makes you feel inferior but this also makes you feel secure because it is what you are used to. We do not have to search for our shadow, it is always with us. It is in our laughter, joy, smiles, fears, tears, and dreams of the future.

Read through this and envision yourself as the main character.

Slowly you open your eyes blinking rapidly at the bright light of the sun as it glares brightly in the East. You slowly rise up feeling the weight of your body as you move into a sitting position.

You look around you taking in what looks like the remains of a battle. Shields, swords, bullet casings, and the remains of clothes are scattered as far as you can see.

No people though, dead or alive.

Gently, you come to your feet, not sure if your legs will support you. Stiffly you move your body around letting the feeling of life flow back through your limbs.

Your eyes have adjusted and you now can see a pillar of smoke off in the distance. Without hesitation you move towards that sign of life, not sure if this is friend or foe. But you’re out here alone and you desire some form of companionship.

As you move across the field a glint of metal and light catches your eye. Walking to that area you spot an object on the ground. You pull away some grass to get a better look and then place the object in your pocket.

Suddenly the light dims and you feel the wind pick up. Without thought you run in the direction of the fire. There’s a strange sense of urgency in the air.

You reach the roaring flames just as there’s a flash and you wake up.

Happy New Moon in Scorpio loves. Reflect on the item that you picked up. We will be referring back to this as we explore the light of Scorpio with Persephone.

Much love to you all,

Kamilah Rose
